[M5Hosting] Unplanned Maintenance Event

Dear Happy M5 Hosting Customer,

The data center has just notified us that they need to make an emergency reboot
of the aggregation router that M5 Hosting is connected to. This would normally
cause a total loss of connectivity for about 5 minutes while the router
reboots. They have set the time of this reboot for midnight tonight Pacific
Time (GMT -7) (3.25 hours from now).

To minimize the downtime associated with this type of event, we are upgrading
our connection to the data center core to use HSRP (Hot Swap Routing Protocol).
However, to do this, we must move some of our own wiring around a bit. This
will take a few minutes maximum. We will do this work immediately (about 9pm
PDT)

Once we are set up with HSRP, the reboot of the aggregation routers will cause
a pause of only a few seconds rather than a minimum of 5 minute total outage.
In the future any event like this will only cause a pause of a few seconds in
duration.

I apologize for the short notice, but we are doing everything we can to
minimize teh affects of this event, and take advantage of it to provide you
with improved service in the future.

If you have any questions or comments regarding this email or the maintenance
event, please feel free to send your comments or questions to
support at m5hosting.com

Thanks,
Mike
