Dear M5Hosting Customer,

We will be performing a network upgrade on Tuesday night which will
cause short interruptions over the course of a 4 hour maintenance
window.

We are replacing our core Layer 2 switches with new, larger, faster and
smarter Layer 3 switches and breaking large VLANs down to smaller ones.
This will reduce the size of broadcast domains, and allows routing of
internal traffic to be done on a very fast layer 3 switch instead of on
the border routers.

There will be a brief interruption as each access layer switch is cut
over to the new core switches (<1min), another one (1min) as trunks are
established, as well as one longer interruption (less than 10 minutes)
as system VLANs are changed. This work will be done by subnet. If you
have multiple servers, and they are all on one subnet, they will all be
affected at the same time. If you have servers on different subnets,
they will be affected at different times during the window.

We will begin with subnets which will have an impact on fewer customers
and users first, and do the ones with the most impact later. We expect
to be done by 01:00 PDT, leaving the last hour of the window for
testing, troubleshooting and rollback if necessary.

Window Start: Tuesday 4/1/08 22:00 PDT (Wed. 4/2/08 05:00 GMT)
Window End: Wednesday 4/2/08 02:00 PDT (Wed. 4/2/08 09:00 GMT)
Duration: Each customer may notice a few short interruptions, and one
longer interruption. Total impact for any one server should be less than
15min.

*** Note: If you currently have a server with IP addresses on more than
one subnet, you may need to renumber your addresses to be all on one
subnet. If this applies to you and we do not contact you by Sunday
evening, please contact support.***

Thank you !
Mike
